“El Matador” Roger Huerta beat Clay Guida in the main event of The Ultimate Fighter Season 6 finale.

The lightweights battled to culminate a night of all-welterweight action. Guida dominated the first two rounds.

However, Huerta improved his record to 20-1-1 by forcing Guida to submit to a rear naked choke in Round 3.

Cleveland native Mac Danzig won the TUF 6 welterweight tournament, using a rear-naked choke to beat Tom Speer.
Matt Hughes and UFC welterweight champion Matt Serra were the TUF 6 coaches. Their fight was postponed due to an injury to Serra. They finally fought in May 2009 at UFC 98, and Hughes won by unanimous decision.

In other TUF 6 finale bouts, Jon “War Machine” Koppenhaver beat Jared Rollins by TKO in Round 3.

George Sotiropoulos, who repeatedly angered his fellow Team Serra members by failing to wake them up, defeated Billy Miles with a rear-naked choke at the 1:36 mark.

Ben Saunders opened the Spike TV show with a unanimous decision over Dan Barrera.

Other TUF 6 competitors battled in the preliminary fights, with these results:
  •        Troy Mandaloniz beat Richie Hightower by TKO at 4:20;
  • ·         Roman Mitichyan defeated Dorian Price with an ankle lock submission in 23 seconds;
  • ·         Jonathan Goulet beat Paul Georgieff by technical submission with a rear-naked choke in 4:42;
  • ·         Matt Arroyo used an armbar to beat John Kolosci, also in 4:42.
