UFC 127: Stalemate in Sydney

BJ Penn and Jon Fitch battled to a majority draw in the UFC 127 main event.

Fitch won five fights in a row to earn the main-event spot. One judge thought he won the fight, but the others called it a 28-28 draw.

Michael “The Count” Bisping moved up in the middleweight division with a TKO win over Jorge Rivera in Round 2.

Dennis Siver of Germany scored his third win a row with a unanimous decision over George Sotiropoulos.

After 61 pro fights, Brian “Bad Boy” Ebersole finally debuted in UFC. He beat Chris Lytle by unanimous decision.

Australia’s own Kyle Noke won the pay-per-view opener over Chris Camozzi with a rear naked choke in 85 seconds.

On the Spike TV pre-show, Alexander Gustafson defeated James Te Huna with a rear naked choke in 4 minutes, 27 seconds.

The Ultimate Fighter Season 9 winner Ross Pearson beat Spencer “The King” Fisher by unanimous decision, and Nick Ring won in the same way over Riki Fukuda.

On the Facebook prelims, hometown boy Anthony “The Hippo” Perosh beat Tom Blackledge with a rear naked choke at the 2:45 mark.

Zhang Tiequan used a guillotine choke to beat Jason Reinhardt in 48 seconds.

In the early preliminary fights, Curt Warburton defeated Maciej Jewtuszko by unanimous decision. Mark Hunt knocked out Chris Tuchscherer after 1:41 of heavyweight action.
